Raffles Hotel just emailed me.
after I've sent my resume over 1 month+ ago..
First reaction, super excited.
there's an amazing excitement within,
becus I've wanted to go Raffles since so long ago.
Probably, or must be, because I've once worked there,
my first work place..
too much memories..

and still few of my good friends over there.
A sudden offer, makes me really, pretty lost.
Pang treats me very good at Nautilus.
He really makes me want to help him,
although I don't rly like the work there (yet),
and, despite I may be a trouble to him sometimes..
but, he really got the patience.

but I do think about Raffles Hotel 5 days work..
becus I have lesson every wed..

it's a fucked up day..

though the interview went well.
it's not enough to cover all the unhappiness today.

covered heels hurt today.
f*ck the driver who didnt see the komodo dragon crawling on the road.
it's just one step nearer it's going to be safe.

The one I saw, the full body was actually as long as the road lane.
It's rly an eye-opener.

wanted to take a photo, but an oncoming van honed, it crawled faster to the other side.
I witnessed it crawling from one side of the road,
to the other..
got knocked down.. so much wanted to go over and help it up to the safe pathway.
but im 10 minutes to my 12pm interview's appointment.

When I left the scene, it's half crippled after knocked down.
didnt know when I'm back after the interview, it's dead.
crossed over the road to take bus.

I've finished reading 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho.

As much as how people, or I, got inspired by this book.
As much as I agree to many parts of the stuffs tht's in 'their' conversations.
But when I close the book..

Easter Celebration was a boooooooom at Brunch today..

Faith
–noun
confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability.

I always talk about Faith.
So do others at different parts of the world I supposed?
I'm in the stage of understanding this particular word better, or rather more than just understanding the definition.
it's more of knowing how you apply it in life, it's the most important.

So people always bring out this word to say this and that,
to promise and so on & so fore..
But the difficult part of really applying 'Faith' into your life, for me, it's your emotions & stupid mind.
Despite how much you know you trust this person, how much you tell yourself you trust him/her..
We always overlook the importance of staying calm & using your bloody brain to think,
then due to environment, affects your judgement..
your mind & emotions thus control your brain & then your actions.
And things happen..
So your mind is playing the game, the Master of all.
Why can't I have a very firm stand of my own.
Such a failure, disappointment.

I'm so gna beat this Evil Master and master the skills of throwing my stupid mind away and be smart next time.
Feeling, knowing, and telling yourself is never enough..
Understanding your weakness, overcome it, and really applying on your life, on your loved ones, is much better.

A great off day I've spent today.
Woke up at 7+am, had mummy's yummilicious delicious Ai Xin breakfast!
bread with egg + ham + tomato + cabbage!

well, it doesnt look and their food doesnt live up to it '5 star hotel'
im not the only one who commented though, quite alot.

finally met up with C K and Korkor (EugeneTan) after soooooo long.
happy happppppppy!
though the day started I dont feel like going, but after met up with CK & korkor,
everything's turned much better! (:

their ballroom, is just like a 3 star hotel.
nothing special, nothing much.
quite a few big shots in this culinary industries..
oh yah! Li Yi Ming also there.. the artiste.
so i met a new friend! called K.A..
he's a classmate of korkor and ck.
I felt im really their xiaomei sitting between these 2 brothers of mine.. (they called me xiaomei btw)
very nice and sweet of them to always take the food first for me when it's served.
so heart-warming..
and the most dread thing is I forgot to take picture with them!
siannnnn.

I always think along my way in life..
it seems that there's always people around who will take care of me, whenever, wherever..
at this point of time, I dont know why, but I just want to thank Mummy..
mummy whom I believe brought me up with a cheeery character,
a smile that people always says its my trademark,
and mummy whom I believe always pray for me, that everything it's gna be alright for Yi Jun.

back to the dinner..
Even how not nice the food was from the start to the last..
I enjoyed the dinner just because of the companions I had through out..
thanks C K and korkor and not forgetting K A..
dinner ended at around 1035pm,
we 3 secretly took the Staff's lift to the carpark,
while the long queue for guest's lift is forming up, LOL.
so hopped onto korkor's car, he dropped me at clarke quay area so I can fetch my Dearest from work ending at 11pm.
my handphone is having problem in calls already, siannnn.
in anycase, sorry korkor CK darling making you 3 worry for me.
felt so loved(:

Dearest & I walked from clarke quay, to bugis..
to have supper, he's having the supper to be specific.
then we walked and talked again..
brought me around the areas where he used to stay when he's young.
when there isnt any bugis junction yet, only shop houses..
the story of the 'The Gateway' building, the feng shui story..
and walked until Golden Mile Lavender area..
walked for around 1 hour..
sat down and chatted until 3+am and cabbed home.
the whole process alot of things happened, even the super unhappy ones..
but in any way, we still manage to end the day with laughters and loves.
haahah..

tmr school is a slack day, cus we're going fieldtrip aka excursion.
starting work on thursday, mixed feelings..

I dont want to have any more nightmares.
Even how glad I am after the dream,
the process still sucks to the core.
Just hope sometimes my heart will be numb,
so I wont feel anything bad :(

I didnt run for months already,
and one shot run for 1 hour..
quite a few moments when I just want to stop..
but while running, alot of things ran through my mind..
it's the determination tht kept me going.
thinking of how Ncc used to train our endurance,
thinking of how we overcome all obstacles last time,
thinking of how mr tong encouraged me in any ways,
thinking of all the times we had in ncc,
it kept me going & going & going..
nothing more, just ncc through out.
the root of my determination came from Amkss Ncc Air, Above All Elements.

It's term 4 aka The Bread Term.
it's practically all about breaddddddddddddddd & more breaddddddd.
50% yummy 50% yucky.
HAHA.
had little fun today!
because we knead the dough ourselves by Hands.
FYI kneading bread dough by hands is not easy!
the 1kg flour we knead is just enough to make the whole class's arms went wobbly. (not legs)
but at the end of the day..
what we got and saw in front of our eyes..
whoooooosh!
thts the baguettes we did ourselves!

and I enjoyed scoring the bread now.
keep scoring & scoring,
keep learning & learning,
getting better & better.

I used to hate scoring, simply becus I always 'spoil' the bread outlook.
but thanks to Kelvin, Fullerton colleague..
he encouraged me not to scared of the bread and just score it.
learnt it from him 2 terms back when I stayed overnight at the bakery.
picked up some skills from them during that period of time.
I will find time to stay overnight at bakery again with them! ^^

had NewYork x 2 with Darling ystd after Homecoming at school.

sorry for the super long wait.
just didnt manage my time well enough to have ample blogging time.
pretty busy for the past month, but now is quite a relaxing period.
Fullerton suffering bad business, I think so are the other hotels.

Yi Jun is currently pretty much enjoying the growing up process.
Having a different pathway as compared to most of my secondary school friends.
Either JCs, Polys, or ITEs.
While me choosing a path towards a Pastry World.
As always, as usual, loves to do things with my pair of hands.
Be it birthday cards, handcrafts.. and all that.
How can I miss out pastries!
Something that you did with your heart & sincerity.
When the end product is out,
it's not a matter of whether it's very nice&amazing anot, to me, it's a matter of sincerity.
And seeing how wonderful it taste & look after finished,
it's a sense of accomplishment I've got.

but having a hard time adapting to the environment change in kkitchen.

A good learning experience, but got to admit.. "It's never easy."

a relaxing term, but sometimes hard to catch during practical.
It's mainly Malay Desserts, & Thai Desserts.

He's Chef Aa, come on!! He's the cutest, most adorable & humorous, and most sincere chef I've ever came across so far!!

When I first stepped into Fullerton, full-timers somehow just started to go one by one.
leaving some of us behind, I must say I felt like shit tht time.
Until now, I still havent adapt 100%-ly.
And Maya, she just bought 3 cups for 3 trainees that time.
Felt so loved.

I took the black one btw!

Maya is a very nice person.

Have an Annual Fullerton Staff Dinner&Dance the previous time.
First time planning the menu and all that, it's my first time experience.
and also the first for most of the other trainees.
It's a very rush process, tough one for us.
But it turned out just great on tht day. ^^

It started off with the open house at At-Sunrice in December 2007.
when I went with korkor to visit the school, and attended the open house.
and I came to know kor's NS sir, Sir Andrey Alif Ong. ^^
knew about this very 'quiet' guy and started to talk after that.

He loves cow, loves moo moo.
moo moo sounds so kiddy right.
My first impression was like, it totally doesnt suit the guy right in front of me now.
but I began to love how [moo] linked to this cute guy.
hahah.

the little gift he gave when we started to talk,
something that touched my heart, straight into.

I wore the moo shirt on tht day, and we decided to take a picture infront of a Moo store!
Mr Andrey was surprised! ^^

It's a pleasure knowing him, definitely.
it was ever fun with all the rainy days we've gone through tgt.
how amazing it was/is, the first one is still the best at Keppel.

but never did I expect he's going to be the one, the one standing beside me in the future ahead of me, giving me all the support he could give.

cus mainly are automatic.

It was a very very quiet week for pastry kitchen.
Production list practically got less than 3 items to do, and we have 6-7 people.
everyone struggling, not becus of too much work, but too little!

the kitchen was damn it quiet.
but I hang on there for 1 hour, there came my 2 surprises.
surprises that made me cried twice.

pei rou (my ex CDP) and Mag came specially to see me! ^^
if you dont know, they already resigned.
pei rou resigned around june, and mag around october.

it's a day when mummy didnt cook, and ive got the bloody time to have a meal with frend.
i miss amksians so much, so f much.
i tried msging people arnd me.
i msg arnd 8 to 9 people, but all either at home, or on the way home.

i was so disappointed until i teared in the public, sitting down alone with Mr Bean's pancakes.

and Kelvin from bakery made Luo Han Guo liang teh esp for me.
i never had so many liang teh from different people before, i swear i was very touched.

school started last week.
well, everything is going good and nice,
except for the chairs.

have to type everything again, which i donthave the exact mood right now.

im going to summarize everything! grrrrrrr.

- I've passsed my final theory test! (:
- Im going to be a mummy next week in the house
- Mummy going thailand next week, I have to adjust my driving lessons time, in order to come back and wash the 4 family members' clothes
- If not, mummy will be very tired to come back and wash 5 days x 5 family members' clothes!
- I have to help out in this family, and so I will be missing half of 4/3 chalet, sorrrry guys!
- I have to chiong my driving lessons within next week, around 6 hours per day.
- TIRING! LOL.
- I thought I will be slacking before my school starts on 17th March, unexpectedly not.
- Im excited yet scared about schooooooool
- Im super worried about my driving practical test, Manual Cars are kinda hard to handle.

had been going Singapore Safety Driving Centre SSDC since the day i've enrolled.
so from tmr onwards, the routine is going to start again, and it's more hiong.
it's like arnd 2 to 3 driving lessons each day, each lesson is 2 hours.
but no choice i want to chiong all arnd 25 lessons before 17 march school starts.
luckily they have shuttle bus, if not i think my bus fare will finish real fast.
and machiam SSDC is my second home now.

i finally got it after several attempts to get early date!
and so is next tuesday 26 feb!

so i've got to study damn damn hard and going down to ssdc everyday until tuesday yup!
